The Aputure LS 1200d Pro is Aputure’s flagship Light Storm daylight LED, built for productions that need serious punch from a Bowens mount point-source fixture. It uses a 1200W 5600K COB engine and is designed to compete with industry-standard HMI daylight sources, while keeping the practical control benefits of LED. To shape that output, the LS 1200d Pro includes three Bowens mount Hyper Reflectors: Narrow (15°), Medium (30°) and Wide (45°). With the Narrow reflector, output is rated at 83,100 lux at 3 metres, making it a strong choice when you need a hard daylight key, a long-throw backlight, or a convincing “sun” effect through windows. Colour performance is built for camera work. The fixture is specified at 5600K with high colour accuracy, including CRI ≥96 and TLCI ≥98. In real-world use, that helps daylight look clean on skin tones and match more easily with other daylight-balanced sources on set. Control is designed for professional rigs. The control box supports on-board operation, 5-pin DMX with RDM, wireless LumenRadio CRMX, and network control via Art-Net and sACN through an etherCON connection, plus Sidus Link app control. That makes it equally comfortable on film and TV sets, broadcast studios, and corporate event systems where desk or network control is expected. For location and outdoor work, the LS 1200d Pro features an IP54 weather-resistant design intended for challenging environments. It is a practical option when you need high-output daylight in large rooms, big sets, or exterior setups, without giving up modern control and power flexibility. Despite its output, it remains a Bowens mount fixture, so it works with a wide range of modifiers, from large softboxes and lanterns to projection and specialty optics.
