LiteMat Spectrum 2L keeps the familiar LiteMat form factor but adds full-colour control. It’s a lightweight, full-colour panel built for cinema, TV and high-end video, with a “two-long” layout at roughly 11.5 in x 40 in (292 mm x 1016 mm). It runs at 48 V DC and is rated around 100 W, with 2,592 LEDs, and the published weight depends on generation, ranging from about 4.6 lb (2.1 kg) with cable on earlier versions to about 7.5 lb (3.4 kg) on Gen 2. What sets the Spectrum line apart is colour flexibility. Alongside a wide tunable white range, you get wide-gamut colour mixing with hue, saturation and plus/minus green control, so you can match practicals, push brand colours or build stylised looks without gels. The 2L also supports pixel mapping with two large-format pixels, which lets you split or graduate colour and intensity across the panel rather than being locked to one flat output. For DPs and gaffers, that makes it particularly useful in tight spaces such as car interiors, small sets, corridors and flats where you need motivated light without bulky fixtures. Hire packages vary, but a common kit build includes the LiteMat head, a compatible LiteDimmer Spectrum 200, diffusion options, a PolySkirt, a mounting solution such as kMount, a PDX power and data cable, and a kit bag or case. With the right front accessories, you can move quickly from a broad, soft source to something more contained and controlled without changing the fixture. For live and corporate work, it’s a strong option when you want a high-end, film-style look for panels, CEOs or product demos. Because it’s thin and light for its output, LiteMat Spectrum 2L is straightforward to rig on walls, ceilings, booms, or practical structures with the right grip. It works well as a key for single subjects, an eyelight, a soft side source, or a motivated “window” in a narrow frame. In corporate and brand work, it’s ideal when you need fast, repeatable setups that can shift between clean interview light and more colourful looks for B-roll or social cut-downs.
