The Laserworld Safety Unit, often described as an emergency stop button and key, is a dedicated safety accessory for show laser systems. It connects to a projector’s interlock interface and provides a clear, physical way to stop laser emission immediately if conditions change during a show.The unit includes a key switch, helping ensure the system can only be armed by authorised crew. It is supplied with a 5 m interlock connection cable and an adapter for RJ45 and DB9/RS-232 style interlock connections, making it suitable for Laserworld projectors that use either format.In venue and live event environments, having a dedicated E-Stop located at front of house or in the control position is commonly expected as part of a professional laser setup. It gives the operator an unambiguous way to disable emission without relying solely on software or show control.For multi-projector systems, a single Safety Unit can be used to stop more than one laser where the projectors’ interlocks are looped together as part of the system design. This is particularly useful for larger rigs, where you want one clearly defined shutdown point available to the operator at all times.
