2×1 M Spider-Leg Stage Deck

The 2 × 1 m Spider-Leg Stage Deck is a portable platform system that uses folding “spider” risers to deliver a fast, compact, and highly practical staging solution for events. It is based on the same concept as modern spider or accordion-style stages, where a lightweight aluminium frame deck locks onto a collapsible scissor-leg understructure. When folded, the riser packs down very small, making it easy to move through venues, transport in smaller vehicles, and store between shows. When opened out, the legs provide a stable base with a footprint designed to support the 2 m by 1 m deck at a fixed working height, in line with spider systems that typically offer 20, 40, or 60 cm risers. The deck surface is comparable to other professional spider platforms that use birch plywood with a Hexa or similar textured coating, combining strength with a non-slip finish suitable for performers, presenters, and crew. Load ratings for comparable 2 × 1 m spider decks reach up to around 750 kg per square metre, so when properly configured, this type of platform can comfortably support people, band backline, and AV equipment within normal corporate and live event usage. The aluminium frame keeps the weight manageable without sacrificing rigidity, which is particularly useful when a small crew needs to build and adjust the stage quickly during a tight turnaround. From a practical perspective, the 2 × 1 m footprint makes this deck extremely flexible. It can be used as a standalone presentation platform, combined with other decks to form larger stages, or deployed as a riser for drums, choirs, DJs, lecterns, or camera positions.
